Scuba Diving Rockingham

Point Peron

Maxdepth : 9m

Experience : Novice

A great shallow shore dive with good visibility depending on the sea conditions. Don't forget to take a dive flag at this site and as this is part of the Shoalwater Islands Marine park it is also a case of look but don't take, you are permitted to take certain things such as crayfish but certain restrictions do apply so check first.

Things to see.
You will find lots of limestone reef with an abundance of sealife. There is no set route to this dive, any of the rocky areas that you can see from the shore are worth a look and the further you swim out the better it gets.

Parking.
There is ample car parking directly in front of the dive site but take care of your car here, this area is a high theft area so anything of value leave at home or in the boot out of sight.

Visibility.
Normally between 5 and 10 meters.

Best time to dive.
Any time as long as the water is flat, if you can see white caps you may find the dive is like being inside a washing machine.

Hazards.
Other than car theft this is a safe site but as with any of the shore dives don't forget your dive flag.
