Advanced Trimix Course

Decompression Diving to 90 msw

Congratulations on choosing the Bell Scuba, Advanced Trimix Diver Course. The objective of this course is to provide training and experience in Helium Based Custom Table Decompression Diving to a maximum depth of 90 msw. You will learn about the hazards and proper techniques of utilizing oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures for dives that require staged decompression. During the decompression either pure oxygen or nitrox mixtures will be used.

Student Pre-Requisites

Minimum age of 18. Minimum of 150 logged dives and certification as a TDI Extended Range Diver or TDI Entry Level Trimix Diver (or equivalent).

Qualification

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in decompression diving activities in environmental conditions similar, or better to those undertaken during training.

Open Water Dives

4 dives with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes, with at least two Trimix dives deeper than 55 msw. (2 dives may be credited from the Extended Range Diver course, or equivalent, at the discretion of the instructor).

Knowledge Development Module

The knowledge session will review Physics, Physiology, Decompression Options, Equipment Considerations, Dive Tables, Computer generated tables, Dive planning and Diving procedures.

Course Includes

TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Manual, TDI Certificate and Certification Card, 4 dives using Helium based mixtures, Nitrox for Decompression, provision of Nitrox and Trimix fills, use of custom computer tables and knowledge development sessions.

Course Cost

 

$1200, excluding the cost of gas and boat dives if required.
