Extended Range and Entry Trimix Course

Decompression Diving on Air/Trimix to 60 msw

Congratulations on choosing the Bell Scuba, Extended Range and Entry Level Trimix  Course. The objective of this course is to provide training and experience in Air/Nitrox and Helium based custom table decompression diving to a maximum depth of 60 msw. You will learn about the hazards, proper techniques and equipment requirements to competently utilize air and Helium for deep dives that require staged decompression. During the decompression either pure oxygen, Nitrox and Helium mixtures will be used.

Student Pre-Requisites

Minimum age of 18. Minimum of 100 logged dives (25 of which must be deeper than 30 msw), certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Decompression Procedures Diver (or equivalent).

Qualification

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in deep air diving to 55 msw using Oxygen/Nitrox for the decompression, or diving on Trimix to 60msw. They may also participate in the
  • TDI Advanced Trimix Course (Trimix to 90 msw).

Open Water Dives

6 dives with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes, all dives must be deeper than 30 msw with four dives deeper than 40 msw.

Knowledge Development Module

The knowledge session will review the History of Deep Air and Helium diving, Physics, Physiology, Decompression Options, Equipment Considerations, Dive Tables, Computer generated tables, Dive planning and Diving procedures.

Course Includes

TDI Extended Range and Entry level Trimix Diver Manuals, TDI Certificates and Certification Cards, 4 – 6 dives using Nitrox for Decompression, provision of Nitrox and Air fills, use of custom computer tables and knowledge development sessions.

Course Cost

$1200, excludes cost of gas and boat trips if required.
